The History of PAX - PAX 1, 2 and 3 Explained

Pax 1, 2, and 3 are fantastic vape devices that have revolutionised the vaping industry. The features within the devices are bespoke and show that PAX Inc had a great understanding of what an electronic vape should be. In this blog, we will find out about the history of Pax 1, 2 and 3 and their high-quality features.

PAX 1 History

The company Ploom was founded in 2007 by design graduates, James Monsees and Adam Bowen and later would be known as PAX Labs. In 2012, Ploom introduced Pax 1 which would soon become their most popular product. Pax 1 had a huge impact on the dry herb vaping industry, The influence shook the industry as much as when the first electronic cigarette arrived to rival tobacco cigarettes. At the time electronic cigarettes were large to hold. However, the Pax 1 was a small, portable vape device and the price was reasonable for consumers.

In spite of that, many competitors entered the market with their own vape devices that rivalled PAX Labs. Since then, Pax 3 and the Mighty have been compared together as some of the best vaporiser devices on the market. Reviews say that if you are looking for portability and stealth then the Pax 3 is the winner. On the other hand, if you are the type to place your flavour and vapour quality then the Mighty+ is worth it.

Pax 2 History

Before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s talk about Pax 2. The Pax 2 came out on March 10th 2015 and featured a smaller design than the original device. The Pax 2 was a great update over the Pax 1 due to being 25% smaller, 10% lighter and 15% higher battery capacity. This meant users could use the device 30% longer than the original. Ploom added a lip-sensing technology to the device which detects if you’re using the device or not. If you are not using the vape device it automatically lowers the temperature to preserve the contents. With the release of the Pax 2, Ploom upgraded the oven so that the contents could be heated more evenly. The public loved this vape device because it showed that Ploom was serious about creating the best vape experience for its consumers.

Pax 3 History

In 2016, Ploom now known as PAX and JUUL introduced the Pax 3. The Pax 3 is everything the public loved about the Pax 2 but better. The Pax 3 updated the oven once again, making the oven take 20 seconds to heat up the contents. The vape device works with waxy and solid contents. Pax has created a mobile app for the device so it allows you to use 2 unique features. The first feature is called ‘precision temperature’ which allows the user to change the device temperature when vaping. The second feature is called ‘lock mode’. This is a security feature that enables the customer to lock the Pax 3 from unwanted users like children.
